Horsley is a small hamlet near the small Cotswold town of Nailsworth. It is in Gloucestershire in the South West of England. The origins of the name Horsley are much debated, though it is thought that it originates from "Horse in a field" after the large number of horses kept in fields on its rolling hillside.
There are a few local businesses and establishments which may be of interest. Herberts Bakery sells freshly made bread. The Bell and Castle pubs whos landlady is "Tracey" serves fine Ale, and pub food from around local areas. Some of which is even grown in the pub garden! There is also a waste disposal area nearby which is used by many, it has been described as "the waste disposing heart of the Cotswolds".
