Joyce Meyer is an evangelical author and speaker. She lives outside of Saint Louis, MO, and has regularly broadcast television and radio programs. She has written numerous amounts of books about Christianity and theology, numbering over 70 as of December 2005. She attends 20 conferences a year. She holds a degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a Ph.D in Theology from Life Christian University, in Miami, Florida.

She herself has been through many trials and tribulations in her lifetime, including child abuse, and a divorce in her first marriage.

In February, 2005 she was chosen by Time Magazine as one of the top 25 Christian evangelicals in America. She is also a best-selling author on the New York Times list. (source: )
