The son of comedian and actor Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, Stiller was born in New York, New York on November 30, 1965 and raised seeing his family's Hollywood lifestyle.
Stiller directed both The Cable Guy and Reality Bites, to generally mixed reviews. He has dated comedienne Janeane Garofalo periodically and is still friends with her.
Amy Stiller, Ben's sister, is also an actor.
