WP matters

I am answering at my talk page. Thank you. Joefaust (talk) 22:04, 29 November 2009 (UTC) Or is this the place to answer your talk? Joefaust (talk) 03:39, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Re: Wind power

Wstshymanski, any article on "wind power" cannot validly disregard WECS and TWECS. Many others in discussion are calling for the Danish POV to be far expanded in this article. TWECS on ships and boats are advancing fast in installations; indeed nations could meet the 20% wind RE via traction from the wind power on ships. What is your standing that you prevent cited wind power flows from being in the wind power article? Thank you. Joefaust (talk) 02:56, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Vertical axis wind turbine VAWT

VAWT in the industry is easily known to be turbines that have the axis of rotation TRAVERSE to the wind; many first uses were on vertical poles; but those setting are not fundamental; keeping the same traverseness, one can rotate the setting of te axis at any clock angle from two poles or two hang points, so long as the clockface holding the axis flat on the face is so the clockface is broad to wind flow. Take an H-Darrieus (see his patent) and notice Darrieus's use of traverse; that H-Darries central rotatin axis can be rotated to any angle in a clockface that is broadside to the wind stream. The wind does not resepct such at all except minor strata changes. In HAWP such orientation makes no difference at all. Please revert my work over this matter. The Darrieus is a VAWT no matter if the pole is broadsid to stream even at a horizontal. Do not confuse the different point of that axis to the wind, as then the Darrieus would not work. The problem of those not skill in the industry is that just became most VAWT are set on poles that are vertical, that does not stop the Magenn device which is a VAWT set at clock angle that aligned with horizon when looking lweeward. But that does not make the Magenn a HAWT, as it is not. The perversness comes from not knowing the definition of a VAWT and not applying it correctly. Misplaced Pages should not continue the error. Please help correct the text. http://en.wikipedia.org/VAWT VAWT Joefaust (talk) 00:11, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Still not sure how to talk. Do you visit my talk? I posted some there at your reply. Thanks. Joefaust (talk) 00:11, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Windpower and geodesic domes on the moon

If thousand foot high geodesic domes were built on the surface of the moon and pressurized to one standard atmosphere, and light allowed in, would the monthly variations in energy be sufficient to cause wind currents that might power a series of turbines erected within them?
