Bashir and O'Brien try to remove Frankie Eyes but to no avail. Frankie is a "jack-in-the-box" put in the program by Felix, the man who designed the program. There are only two ways to get the program back to the way it was: a) Reset the program to the beginning, causing Vic to lose his memory, or b) Get rid of Frankie Eyes in a manner realistic to the time period.

Bashir opts for the latter and soon enlists the help of Yates, Nog and the whole senior staff, except for Benjamin Sisko. At length Kasidy Yates discovers the reason for Sisko's reluctance: in the time period of Vic's program, African-Americans were allowed in Las Vegas only as entertainers or janitors, never as high rollers.

Sisko finally joins the rest of his staff in helping Vic, as a high roller. Their scheme consists of stealing all the casino's profits so that when the godfather shows up to take his share of the profits there is no money to give him.

After getting rid of Frankie Eyes, Vic and Sisko sing a duet.
