Charles Saunders (1713-1775) was an admiral in the British Army during the Seven Years War.

The son of Katherine Saunders, Sir Charles Saunders (died 1931) was the Chief Magistrate in Zululand. The founder of Ubombo and Ingwavuma, he collected plants and has a number of species named after him, including Pachypodium saundersii and Ornithogalum saundersii.

He died in 1931 and is buried in Eshowe.
