The Amazing Race 18 is the eighteenth installment of the reality television show The Amazing Race. The Amazing Race 18 will feature several teams of two, each with a pre-existing relationship, in a race around the world with $1 million for the winning team. The show is hosted by Phil Keoghan.
Production
The Amazing Race 18 will be the first season of the United States series that will be broadcast in high-definition television. While most other prime-time television shows have transitioned to high definition, including other reality television shows, previous seasons of The Amazing Race have used standard-definition television due to the cost and fragility of high-definition recording equipment.
The Amazing Race 18 is highly rumored to be a second All-Stars season. Though this hasn't been confirmed by any legitimate sources, people on message boards such as Reality Fan Forum have been speculating an All-Star Season for The Amazing Race 18. This may be due to the fact that Kevin Wu of Season 17 recently tweeted that "TeamJumba will be back".
