Your edits at Lebanese Civil War

Hi, you need to base your edits on published reliable sources and you need to cite them. You can't add material just from your own knowledge. Please see WP:RS and WP:V. Cheers. Zero 10:31, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

None of my edits are invented form my head, I am a middle east academic recently graduated with a Master's on this topic and all that is said has come from the best scholarship on this topic- and I cite the authros in the text although I understand this is not the accepted form- but this is in stark contrast to the nonsense that was up on the website citing dubious sources- I will go back and fix the citations but this is a mammoth task so please be patient — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ronda2001 (talkcontribs)

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. David Biddulph (talk) 14:24, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Community restrictions

ConsensusThe article Lebanese Civil War, along with other articles relating to the Arab-Israeli conflict, is currently subject to active arbitration remedies, as laid out during a 2008 Arbitration case, and supplemented by community consensus in November 2010. The current restrictions are:
  • All articles related to the Arab-Israeli conflict broadly construed are under WP:1RR (one revert per editor per article per 24 hour period). When in doubt, assume it is related.
    • Clear vandalism, or edits by anonymous IP editors, may be reverted without penalty
  • Editors who violate this 1RR restriction may be blocked without warning by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offence.
If you are a new editor, or an editor unfamiliar with the situation, please follow the above guidelines. You may also wish to review the arbitration case page. If you are unsure if your edit is appropriate, discuss it here on this talk page first. When in doubt, don't revert!

Arbitration enforcement

See Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement. O Fenian (talk) 00:26, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

November 2010

To enforce an arbitration decision, you have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing arbitration enforcement blocks and follow the instructions there to appeal your block. Notice to administrators: In a 2010 decision, the Committee held that "Administrators are prohibited from reversing or overturning (explicitly or in substance) any action taken by another administrator pursuant to the terms of an active arbitration remedy, and explicitly noted as being taken to enforce said remedy, except: (a) with the written authorization of the Committee, or (b) following a clear, substantial, and active consensus of uninvolved editors at a community discussion noticeboard (such as WP:AN or WP:ANI). If consensus in such discussions is hard to judge or unclear, the parties should submit a request for clarification on the proper page. Any administrator that overturns an enforcement action outside of these circumstances shall be subject to appropriate sanctions, up to and including desysopping, at the discretion of the Committee."

Your block will now expire seven days from now due to your evasion of this block as 124.188.161.54. Further evasion of your block will result in your block being extended to a substantial length of time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 23:59, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Let's start again

OK, so you seem to have got off to a rocky start. Some of the links in the welcome template above might help you find your feet if you're struggling. Also, since you seem to be interested in articles related to Israel and Palestine, you should be aware that there have been some long-running and very bitter disputes there and so the articles there are under some pretty stringent restrictions, including the restriction on one revert per article per 24 hours. May I request that you peruse WP:ARBPIA#Discretionary sanctions at your leisure to avoid getting into any more trouble. Thanks, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:19, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
