Ganja (Gəncə or Ҝәнҹә in Azerbaijani language) is an ancient town in Azerbaijan. Throughout its history had different names: Abbasabad (during shah Abbas I's rule), Elisabethple (within Russia), and Kirovabad (within the Soviet Union), but mostly was known by its original name.
