Digvijay Singh is a senior Congress (I) politician and has been the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for two five-year terms. He first became Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in December 1993 and continued to hold the post till Congress was voted out of power in 2003 general elections.

He did his college education from SGSITS in Indore. He is also a St. Stephen's College alumni.
