I'm a public policy analyst by training and an NGO manager by profession. At the moment my main Misplaced Pages interests concern Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) and the propaganda opposing it, although I hope to participate in other articles on subjects within my areas of expertise.

Education
I attended the University of Washington twice, first receiving a B.A. from the Political Science department, the second time a Masters from the Graduate School of Public Affairs, which now insists on calling itself The Evans School (what Dale Evans had to do with public policy, I have no idea).
Personal Rapid Transit
My involvement in the field of Personal Rapid Transit is as a journalist, commentator and researcher (see K Network gold page). I am a proponent of the technology, tending to approach the subject from the standpoint of PRT as a policy option, and how it would be experienced by the end-user. I also counsel proponents to be realistic with their promises, and consider how their designs will interact with conventional technologies.
