Important! – please read the following before reporting a mistake of mine:

  1. I do make mistakes while reverting vandalism. The following talk page will be probably full of correct complains, but please take into account the high number of reverts I make every day. It's still only a small percentage of my antivandalism work.
  2. Don't be angry. If I reverted an edit from you which I shouldn't have, I'm really sorry. If you (as I kindly ask you to) warn me of my mistake here, I'll remove my warning from your talk page and I'll be happy to present you my apologies.
  3. Please create a new section for every report (to do so, click here). It helps keep everything in order.
  4. Remember to sign your comment by adding ~~~~ (four tildes) at its end. It helps identifying who made the report.
  5. State clearly which article is the one you're talking about, if you can, a diff (link to the difference between my edit and yours) would be very helpful.
  6. I'll always reply on your talk page. That's because this page is archived every day (which means that section where the last comments is older than one day get removed). If you're an IP and you wish me to answer here, state this in your message, but remember to check the archives if you can't find my message.
  7. I'm not a bot, nor using any fully-automated tools to revert vandalism. I do assure you so.

I do read messages on this talk page as soon as they're posted, if I'm around, but I'll probably answer them later.

Your friend User:Snowolf Note to fellow vandalfighters: please do not revert vandalism left here, as long as it doesn't remove others' comments or break something. Thanks.

FYI

Do you remember the discussion that was had here? That was where another editor (whom I have had absolutely no contact with whatsoever since then) agreed to stop harassing me and dragging me into his petty disputes with other editors. Again, I have had no contact with him, nor do I plan to do so. A quick glance through his edits over the past two months speaks for itself and I won't comment further on his constant battles with everyone he encounters. All I will say is, "here we go again." I simply do not understand why this individual feels it necessary to constantly drag me into his nonsense. Erikeltic 05:24, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Request for Interview Regarding Misplaced Pages Bots

Greetings Snowolf-

My name is Randall Livingstone, and I am a graduate student at the University of Oregon, currently collecting data for my dissertation on Misplaced Pages editors who create and use bots and assisted editing tools, as well as editors involved in the initial and/or ongoing creation of bot policies on Misplaced Pages. As a member of BAG and the bot community, I would very much like to interview you for the project at a time and in a method that is most convenient for you (Gchat, another IM client, Skype, email, telephone, etc.). I am completely flexible and can work with your schedule. The interview will take approximately 30-45 minutes.

My dissertation project has been approved both by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the University of Oregon, and by the Research Committee at the Wikimedia Foundation. You can find more information on the project on my meta page.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to hearing from you to set up a time to chat. Thank you very much.

Randall Livingstone, School of Journalism & Communication, University of Oregon
