Carnsore Point in County Wexford, Ireland is famous for been the proposed location of the Nuclear Energy Board (Irish: An Bord Fuinnimh Núicléigh) power plant which was to be built in the 1970s, the plan would have produced electricity for the Electricity Supply Board. The plan was dropped after opposition by environmental groups.
