You say that it is not within the guidelines to include singles from a Refill on the Relapse page. Could you link me to where these guidelines are, I can't find them.Green-Halcyon (talk) 22:41, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

It's actually me (Journalist). Please revert yourself and reinstate my addition to the article. The info "(arranged by famed British musician Rosie Danvers)" is contained in both inline citations to the sentence (it's incorrectly written as "Rosy" in the M magazine article). And next time, it's ok to check sources before you blindly revert me and issue warnings. Orane (talk) 03:06, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
Prescription Medication
It mentions in the NME link that he was dependent on Valium and Vicodin as well as Ambien, the first two not necessarily being sleeping pills, but still prescription medication — Preceding unsigned comment added by Green-Halcyon (talk • contribs) 09:33, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Hey Dan, how's it going? I noticed several other users have commented in regards to that image situation, and that the issue seems to have died down. I'll definately keep an eye out on it though, and if it brews back up, I'll try to help by contacting the user, and/or engaging in the discussion on the album talk page. --Blastmaster11 (talk) 18:05, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

Not vandalism
You left a vandalism template on a very new editor's page for this edit of theirs. It may or may not be correct, but it's clearly not vandalism. This could be a productive new editor; please try and help him/her adjust to our ways here, rather than slapping on more unhelpful templates. Kim Dent-Brown 22:31, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
My edit in Speak Now's Misplaced Pages page is NOT false. The album has sold over 5.5 million copies worldwide and that was made official months ago. It's not vandalism, those are facts. I have included like 3 references backing that up, so stop deleting it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.127.250.78 (talk) 03:19, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Back to Black Sales
I have no idea how to post links but I'm telling you they do say at the Mobo's that it sold over 17 million albums. Unfortunatly I can't post link to it but I was hoping you could as you know how to post links clearly. Just type in Amy winehouse mobo awards tribute. They are talking about back to black as Frank did not sell 7 million albums worldwide which it would have to in order for B2B to have only sold over ten thanks.--Mossty (talk) 19:43, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
yeah okay no need to get offensive I wasn't asking you to go fishing for links for me. I wasn't sure how to post links and you were putting information that is incorrect and were pretty adamant about putting that incorrect information on the page, so I thought if you were so adamant about putting this information that is so incorrect you might want to put the correct information on the article. my mistake.--Mossty (talk) 22:45, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

What do you mean I can't be serious that was what they said at a major awards ceremony. Who are we to say its all bollocks --Mossty (talk) 23:05, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
Its actually something that was said at a major awards ceremony. I very much doubt that the presenter just said it off the bat it would have been whoever wrote that speech. Second the forbes magazine could just be making an estimate that it sold over 10 million albums worldwide, its been said in a number of magazine's since 2008 that back to Black had sold over ten million albums worldwide I will look and provide you with another source to that. So that clearly proves that Forbes magazine is wrong as it was published in 2011. Are you seriously telling me that Back to Black would not have sold at least one million in the four years since all over the world especially in the fuss around her death. Third even if they were beefing Amy up it would be quite a big deal to go from over ten million to seventeen million (pretty random number to pick out of the air) plus it is known that Frank did not sell even close to over 7 million albums worldwide which it would have too in order for Back to Black to have only sold over ten million albums worldwide. Face facts Back to Black has clearly sold more than 10 million and this tribute which clearly a lot of thought was put into (they got Dionne to sing picked one of Amy's lesser known songs) gives us a rough estimate of what it is.--Mossty (talk) 23:22, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
It is not conjecture the facts back it up also if there is something that contradicts what has been written on this page like that source does surely you can't ignore it. It was said at one of the most respected prestigious awards ceremonies it can't just be dismissed as something a rabid Amy Winehouse fan said on the streets. Just because you trust forbes more how is that not conjecture. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mossty (talk • contribs) 23:52, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

Defenders of the true genre
“ | There's no name for it, like there's not "hip pop", or "pop rap". It's not a legit/accepted term. | ” |
— Dan56 |
That quote is from Talk:Kanye West. Lets see if you are right about hip pop:
- Vibe
- Los Angeles Magazine
- Billboard about nelly furtado
- Billboard again
- Billboard #3
- Ebony
- Encyclopedia of the African Diaspora Origins, Experiences, and ..., Volume 3
- SPIN
- Black Enterprise
- CMJ music
Of course there are many more were those came from (Google Books). I am a bit too lazy to make a more impressive collection, but you get my point. Hip pop (or pop rap, whatever you want to call it) exists, and it is not strictly a Japanese thing.
If you think hip pop does exist but pop rap does not you can find some sources here:
- Global Noise: Rap and Hip-Hop Outside the USA (about Italy, not about Japan)
- The 'Hood Comes First: Race, Space, and Place in Rap and Hip-Hop
- That's the Joint!: The Hip-Hop Studies Reader
- Gangsta Rap Coloring Book
- Shoot the Singer!: Music Censorship Today (about France)
- SPIN
- Hip Hop Matters: Politics, Pop Culture, And The Struggle For The Soul Of A ...
- The genre is mentioned in Understanding Music by Jeremy Yudkin
- Music Listening Today
- CMJ New music monthly
- Language, Rhythm, & Sound: Black Popular Cultures Into the Twenty-First Century
If you want more sources just use Google Books. I did too. Arcandam (talk) 16:55, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
It is somewhat worrying and problematic that the self-appointed genre-police is not even aware of the existence of this genre, and that they didn't bother to check Google Books. Arcandam (talk) 17:09, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
