The Fæ classy in crisis LGBT ally Barnstar!

Because we need to show our overwhelming support of what people hate on to create unhate whenever it shows up. I compel everyone that supports unhate to repost this on their user page or talk page and especially on any page that has been the location of LGBT harassment or ignorance, that way the haters will know the only consequence of their hate will be more gayness and education and community. I was in a talk today with Bishop Gene Robinson who has his own (severe) personal experiences of harassment and death threats over the last few years, for obvious reasons. His view was that the opposite of love is fear, not hate. It's quite a well thought out point with regard to homophobic attacks and I rather like to think our Wikimedia community could consider a positive aim of ending fear through knowledge, communication and awareness rather than reacting to hatred. --Fæ (talk) 23:05, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

WQ Transclusion reply

ANI British Pakistanis closed with no action

To prevent any action, the ANI incident was closed by User:Bwilkins at 13:44, 19 May 2012 (dif-2473). Meanwhile, I was posting my !votes to that thread (dif-5650), and those 2nd carefully considered comments were reverted (and thrown away), rather than re-closing the thread 20 minutes later. Sorry for all the wasted effort (and it was also a huge waste of time on my part). I suspect that many ANI threads are closed-no-action to reduce the size of the ANI page. Bwilkins suggested to perhaps post to WP:RFC/U, which might be the better way to get results, without the pressure to close a detailed thread to make the ANI page smaller. No reply needed, as you have more experience in these matters than I, and you can spend your time working other issues. Thanks. -Wikid77 15:00, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi Guerillero, can you pass on the fact that I am travelling tomorrow to attend the funeral of my 20 year old niece on Friday. Hopefully others can explain why this Arbitration request suffers from a lack of evidence of any Misplaced Pages dispute resolution raised since his last failed Arbitration request. I do not have time or the inclination to look into the matter this week for obvious reasons. The fact that the person raising this case has written on Wikipediocracy, this month, about his private meeting with Eric Barbour should be of interest to many and appears to directly relate to the nature of his complaints about matters off Misplaced Pages. The death of my niece

As my niece's death is being called "convenient" and a "story" off-wiki, and some of the people expressing opinions about me on Misplaced Pages and in the request for arbitration linked above have been persistent contributors to abusive discussions on Wikipediocracy and Misplaced Pages Review, demonizing and making professional and personal allegations about me over the last six months, I would like to point out that her painful death was not convenient or simply a story for her or her family. After drinking heavily she took an overdose of medication which irrevocably damaged her liver. She had two days in intensive care and while she was conscious, she said she was looking forward to going back to college later this year, showing this was more of an accident than suicide. Her body was held for several days as part of the investigation by the coroner, who will take a couple more months to hear the case. For my obsessive stalkers with further doubts, I suggest you go to Rossett graveyard, find her plot and feel the newly dug soil with your own hands; it is a beautiful historic spot and will reconcile you with the truth of the situation as it has for me. At 20 her death was completely untimely and leaves everyone in her family feeling sad, angry and filled with regrets. This event affects my contributions on Misplaced Pages and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, though as with my taking part at Monmouth last weekend, only a few days after being told the news, having something else to occupy the mind is helpful, rather than sitting at home doing nothing but looping over these events. --Fæ (talk) 11:16, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Fae, you have my most sincere sympathies for this awful event. As a mother of three daughters of similar age, I can only imagine what the family - including you - must have gone through and be going through, and will continue to go through. I find it shocking that people could think for one moment that mention of an event such as this might be a "convenient story": it beggars belief – shame, shame on them. How anyone who would say such a thing could believe that they have a place in this so-called "community", or any community, is beyond my comprehension. You and yours have my deepest sympathy. Just take a break from wikipedia and find a way to better accept the event you have now experienced and take solace in the fact that the dead don't suffer. I made an anima for my dearly departed great grandmother for the day of the dead last year. Just put together a box or crate or board with pictures of her and you, an item of hers, and make her her favorite food and cover it in merrigolds. In fact you can do it today, just make her lunch and take it to her grace or urn and talk to her.LuciferWildCat (talk) 20:55, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Delicious carbuncle and HIV speculation

Hi Fae, I noticed your comment that "The RFC/U was created by Delicious carbuncle (DC) in conjunction with a series of canvassing threads of Misplaced Pages Review that included a large number of personal allegations that then were partially duplicated on Misplaced Pages, in particular speculation about my sex life and HIV status was posted by DC on ANI." (emphasis mine). I would appreciate a link to this if at all possible, as I too agree that it would be a serious matter and would be very interested to see why the administrative corps did not act upon it. At Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive231#Does WP:NPA no longer protect editors from serious unsubstantiated allegations? s/he refers to and pastes material off-wiki that directly attacks my personal and professional life, speculates as to possible sexual perversions and refers to "public sex", "risky sexual practices" including explicitly a risk to health. This was obviously to be read as sexual health risks, leading on Wnt to mention HIV. Precisely the same tactic was used on the RFC/U talk page where Wnt was led on to make the obvious allegations on DC's behalf. I asked Oversight by email to remove this privacy invading discussion from ANI, they never replied. I suspect if I were the subject of a BLP, such abusive speculative sexual material would be removed. --Fæ (talk) 17:24, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
