Christopher John Dodd (born May 27, 1944), is an American politician. Dodd has been a Democratic Senator from Connecticut since 1981. He is son of former Connecticut Senator Thomas J. Dodd.

Born in Willimantic, Connecticut, Dodd graduated from Providence College in 1966. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic from 1966-68 and graduated from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1972. In 1974, he was elected to the United States House of Representatives from the 2nd District of Connecticut and was re-elected twice, serving from January 3, 1975 to January 3, 1981. In 1980, he was elected to the U.S. Senate, and was re-elected in 1986, 1992, and 1998. He is a candidate for re-election in the U.S. Senate election, 2004, although most political forecasters believe he will be easily reelected.
