Disambiguation link notification for May 20
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of zombie short films and undead-related projects, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Robert Porter (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 00:37, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Thermoelectric effect may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should
In edits like this one, you are making the assumption that Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will also be the primarytopic for Pittsburgh. Perhaps it's a good bet in this case, but how does such an edit improve anything? If we someday made Pittsburgh go to a disambig page, which is the alternate way to deal with its ambiguity, all your edits would become mistakes that need to be corrected. Why not leave the unambiguous linkage alone? Who put you up to this busywork? Dicklyon (talk) 23:52, 28 July 2013 (UTC)
- I am removing your AWB access for mass edits like this that are controversial, and for lots of minor "fixes" that do not change the appearance of the article at all. --Rschen7754 00:04, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, it's was only test of functionality. No any other reasons. Vanquisher (talk) 00:07, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
- There's little point in Dicklyon guessing what a page title might be at some hypothetical future point. A page title is just as likely to change to some other thing (e.g. Pittsburgh, PA). No crystal balls required.--Jeffro77 (talk) 01:16, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
- (I should also add that I agree that tools for batch edits should probably be used more conservatively.)--Jeffro77 (talk) 01:50, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Further to the above, please stop making white space only changes to articles. Removing white space at the end of lines (e.g. as done here) does not affect the output HTML, making them nearly entirely useless edits which shouldn't really be performed on their own, especially not if you're using a script to assist you with them. - Kingpin (talk) 11:15, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

italics for Maxie
Vanquisher, we use italics for book and periodical titles. Chapter or article titles in these works get "quote marks". See: MOS:ITALIC & MOS:QUOTEMARKS. – S. Rich (talk) 16:14, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
Apology
In my edit I accidentally removed the comment you'd just added. Had I realised I would have immediately self-reverted. My PC/connection has a problem with large uploads - after a couple of minutes waiting for the grey circle thing to stop spinning (in Firefox) I pressed F5 and then "Save" again not realising that it would undo any changes made in the meantime (I'm surprised it didn't get flagged as an edit conflict). I'll check my diff if this occurs in the future. I can't edit that discussion at all now so can you replace your comment. DexDor (talk) 05:07, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

- That are the fixes of my previous incorrect edits due to wrong request on google.com. As you can see all edits after that are strongly right and true. Vanquisher.UA 14:55, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
- Ah ha. I see. (I didn't notice the other edits.) Thanks for the explanation. Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 03:03, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
