Hi, the standard approach for updating the |pcupdate= or |club-update= infobox parameter is adding a timestamp by writing five tildes (~~~~~). This is laid out at Template:Infobox football biography#Parameters, which reads: "A timestamp at which the player's infobox club statistics are correct (not needed if the player has retired)." - I fail to see the problem.... both mean the same thing with match played x date being easier on the eye than an odd looking time at which the match did not finish. Spc 21 (talk) 01:06, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

- Well no because you were using as of x date so when someone reads the page they don't know if it was updated before or after the match. With the five tildes method the reader has to know what time the match finished to understand and is obviously harder to work out for people such as me on different timezones and in my opinion it's just plain ugly. The match played on x date is unambiguous and I will continue to use it. Spc 21 (talk) 01:19, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
