Thanks for your help on the article. I have a question regarding the proper tagging of images and haven't been able to find clear answers within Misplaced Pages. If you have knowledge on this subject, would it be possible for you to contact me? Thanks, Leightonwalter (talk)

Hi, the article needs at least one reliable source in it. Otherwise it may be deleted. A reliable source is a newspaper or website article that is from a notable organization like CNN or the New York Times. There's instructions on how to add sources to articles here. Thank you, Dawnseeker2000 23:34, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Dawn, thanks for your friendly welcome. I've added a couple of sources and will expand the content of the article over the next few days. --Clifford Anderson (talk) 02:55, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of François Dosse
The article François Dosse has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Misplaced Pages policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. PhantomTech (talk) 05:34, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reminder, PhantomTech. I simply translated the original on the French Misplaced Pages, but did not think about the sourcing rules on the English Misplaced Pages. I've added several pertinent references. If you agree that I've adequately sourced the article, would you please remove the {{prod blp}} tag? Thanks! Francis Furman
Hello. Would you please be able to take a picture of his sculpture inside Furman Hall and add it to wikimedia commons? Also, could you please take a new picture of the building? There is one as you can see, but I think a new picture with colors would be good, especially one showing the towers perhaps. A bit tricky with the trees, but let me know if you can help. (Also perhaps the staircase inside?) If you are able to go to the cemetery and take a picture of his tomb, that would be great too, but I know that requires a bit more work. Similarly if you can find more info about Francis Furman btw--not too easy online. You may also be interested in another article I created about Henry C. Hibbs. I like the articles you created for the buildings on campus, although I think those articles would stand a better chance if the buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places--I am surprised that they are not--perhaps you can suggest it to someone. Thank you.Zigzig20s (talk) 04:43, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- Can you please provide a reference for Old Gym (Vanderbilt University) as listed on the NRHP? Your link goes to their main page, and I can't find the link you apparently wanted. Thank you. Also btw, I have created William S. Vaughn and I am considering starting a page for his grandfather, William J. Vaughn, if I can find sufficient referenced info to flesh it out. Thought I'd mention it as you may want to help.Zigzig20s (talk) 04:47, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your questions. I've checked for a link at the NRHP database for the Old Gym but I couldn't find one. The database is apparently incomplete. The only way to verify the listing is through the spreadsheet at the NRHP. Also, I believe the entire former Peabody College for Teachers campus is on the NRLP (66000723), including Home_Economics_Building_(Vanderbilt_University) and Mayborn_Building. This should probably be made explicit, as you suggest. Clifford Anderson (talk) 11:46, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Your article on William S. Vaughn looks great! I'd started on an stub for Vaughn Home, but that's probably not needed. Thanks for putting it together. I also enjoyed reading your piece on Henry C. Hibbs. Let me see what I can do about the Furman Hall photographs. Clifford Anderson (talk) 11:46, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Is there a picture of William S. Vaughn in the public domain? Perhaps you can find one in the library and add it on wikimedia commons so that we can re-use it? Same for Francis Furman (besides the sculpture). By the way, are there any plans to digitalize all former issues of the Vanderbilt Hustler, or not at all? (I also found an issue from 1891 and then all issues since 2006, but nothing in between, which is a shame.) I think this would be incredibly useful for researchers (although I imagine this would require a bit of time and funding!).Zigzig20s (talk) 12:51, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- While I'm at it, a picture of the David K. Wilson Hall for David K. Wilson would be wonderful. And also Henry S. Foote's house.Zigzig20s (talk) 12:56, 16 January 2014 (UTC)

Just checking in
Are we still good to go next Saturday for the Editathon? Do I need to bring anything aside from myself? (and I've got 10am to 4pm in my calendar; if that's wrong, I'll adjust it accordingly) EVula // talk // ☯ // 15:08, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, everything is a go for Saturday, November 1st! We're still planning on 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We've got a short announcement at our GLAM page. Really looking forward to seeing you there! Thanks again. Clifford Anderson (talk) 00:23, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
