• Oddfellows, including Loyal Aristarcus Lodge No.9 in London, U.K., with earliest survived documentation in March 12, 1748; a number of friendly societies, fraternal organisations and lodges operating in the United Kingdom with recorded histories dating back to the 18th century, including:

• Order of Patriotic Oddfellows, formed in the mid-18th century, based in the south of England, favouring William III
• Ancient Order of Oddfellows, formed in the mid-18th century, based in the north of England, favouring the Stuarts (see Jacobitism)

• Grand United Order of Oddfellows, founded in 1798, by amalgamation of Order of Patriotic Oddfellows and The Ancient Order of Oddfellows

• Independent Order of Oddfellows Manchester Unity Friendly Society, founded in 1810 in a break from the Grand United Order of Oddfellows
