K.C. Undercover is an American sitcom developed for Disney Channel, created by Corinne Marshall and executive produced by Rob Lotterstein. The series stars Zendaya as K.C. Cooper, a high school student training to follow in her parents' footsteps as an undercover spy. The series was released on January 1, 2015 on Watch Disney Channel and was followed by the television premiere on January 18. The first season will consist of 29 episodes. On May 15, 2015, TVLine reported that the show was renewed for a second season.

Plot

Set in Washington D.C., the series follows K.C. Cooper, a high school math genius who gets recruited by her parents, Craig & Kira, after she discovers that they are secretly undercover spies. Her brother, Ernie, tried to help because he feels left out, but eventually joins the team, & Ernie's desire led Craig & Kira to get a robot child named Judy.
Each episode centers on K.C. & her family as they contend with common familial issues while also performing missions to save the country.

Cast and Characters

  • Zendaya as K.C. Cooper, a high school teenage girl training to become an undercover spy. She is highly proficient at mathematics.
  • Veronica Dunne as Marisa, K.C.'s best friend. She is somewhat ditzy, but is a very outgoing person. In "Photo Bombed", she learns about K.C.'s spy life.
  • Kamil McFadden as Ernie Cooper, K.C.'s brother and a stereotypical nerd. He is a computer genius and joins the family's spy team in "My Sister From Another Mother...Board". He is often ignored by his parents (especially his father), which gives him a severe inferiority complex.
  • Trinitee Stokes as Judy, K.C.'s 8-year-old robot sister. Her robotic nature makes her very smart, but has no social skills, although she is considered to be sassy. Her name stands for "Junior Undercover Digital Youth." She does not appear in the show until the second episode "My Sister From Another Mother...Board", when the agency decides Ernie wouldn't make a good enough spy before he quickly proves them wrong.
  • Tammy Townsend as Kira Cooper, K.C. and Ernie's mom, also an undercover spy.
  • Kadeem Hardison as Craig Cooper, K.C. and Ernie's dad and an undercover spy.

Episodes

  • Trinitee Stokes is absent for six episodes.
  • Kadeem Hardison is absent for two episodes.
  • Tammy Townsend is absent for four episodes.
