Stephen K. Bannon is an American businessman, media executive, and filmmaker. is the co-founder and executive chairman of the Government Accountability Institute and the executive chairman of Breitbart.com's parent company. Bannon also hosts a radio show for Breitbart.

Education

Bannon was born in Virginia. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1976 and holds a Masters Degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University. In 1985, Bannon received a Master of Business Administration degree, with honors, from Harvard Business School with honors.

Military service

Bannon served aboard the U.S.S. Paul F. Foster as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Pacific Fleet. Bannon was also a Special Assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations.

Business career

After his military service, Bannon worked at Goldman Sachs as an investment banker in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department.

From 2007-2011, Bannon was Chairman and CEO of Affinity Media. He is currently the executive chairman of Breitbart News LLC, the parent company of Breitbart.com. Bannon is also executive chairman and co-founder of the Government Accountability Institute.
