Carl Erik Rinsch is a writer and film director.
Career
Rinsch made his directorial debut in 2013 with 47 Ronin, a fantasy adaptation of the Japanese historical epic of the same name, starring Keanu Reeves, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Rinko Kikuchi. Widely panned by critics with an overall loss of around $152 million. It was listed as the 20th biggest box office flop by net loss for the period 1982-2013. The film earned a score of 14% on the film ratings website Rotten Tomatoes.
