General

LiveJasmin is an online adult entertainment website that focuses on live cam streaming. The website was founded in 2001 by György Gattyán, a Hungarian e-commerce entrepreneur. After a relatively short gestation period, LiveJasmin started to rapidly grow and expand in 2003-4, quickly becoming one of the largest adult websites in the world .

Alexa, a company that monitors commercial web traffic, lists LiveJasmin.com as one of the most visited websites in the world , and as one of the most visited adult website on the internet . This is also reflected by the number of members and models that can be found on the site; a model base of 400,000 models entertain around 35 million visitors each day!

On LiveJasmin, members can connect to the cam model of their choice and enjoy Private Chat sessions with them. There are also many other services and features on LiveJasmin, but cam model chats represent the bulk of the services rendered on the website (maybe citation of our other features).

History

The website that would eventually grow into LiveJasmin was launched in 2001 . At that time, it was simply known as Jasmin.hu, and was originally intended to be an internet-based reality show with an erotic overtone. György Gattyán, the founder, had the groundbreaking idea after reading an article about the growing popularity of reality TV shows in the USA..

2003 marked the first big boom of members on LiveJasmin, the number of visitors quickly growing from a few hundred to a few thousand. It was also in this year that György Gattyán decided to establish the company Jasmin Media Group, to serve as a holding company for all of the enterprises related to the website.

In 2004, the sheer number of new members warranted a complete revamping of the website. The design was changed to the now-famous red style that prevails even to this day.

In order to accommodate the ever-growing number of members and models, LiveJasmin had to switch its streaming technology to something that could support a vast number of connections without diminishing the experience for either party. Thus, in 2006, the website’s technology changed to Adobe Flash, which was the biggest and most stable streaming technology at that time.Adobe Flash.

In 2012, American hip-hop artist Flo Rida released a tribute to the famous red website titled “Hey Jasmin” and in 2014, LiveJasmin released a number of TV commercials.

In 2014, TV commercials were released under the Jasmin.com brand. Two commercials were submitted and declined by CBS to air during the 66th Primetime Emmys, resulting in them circulating around the web as "banned commercials".
