The Hyundai Kona is a subcompact crossover SUV designed by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai, which was shown for the first time in June 2017. The production version will make its debut later this year. The Kona is company's smallest SUV measuring 4165mm in length, 1800mm in width. It stands 1560mm tall having a 2600mm wheelbase.
Safety
The Hyundai Kona body is made from high-strength steel with 'hot stamping' and adhesives for added rigidity. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, lane-keeping assist and a driver attention monitor. Optional safety features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot detection and a rear cross traffic alert.
Engines
From launch, the Kona will be available with a 1.0 litre, turbocharged direct injection petrol engine producing 120hp or a 1.6 litre turbocharged direct injection petrol engine producing 177hp with 4x4 all-wheel drive available on selected models.
