- In Greek mythology, Dragon's teeth appear in the stories of Cadmus and Jason; when sown in the ground they produce fully armed warriors.
- In China dragon teeth or dragon bones are names for fossils used in the Traditional Chinese medicine.
- In World War II, Dragon's teeth referred to fortifications used to impede the progress of mechanized armies.
- In 1942, Upton Sinclair published a novel named "Dragon's Teeth", about the Nazi takeover of Germany during the 1930s.
- "Dragon's Teeth" is the title of an episode of Star Trek: Voyager.
