It has been suggested that this article be merged with Al-Noor Islamic Center shooting. (Discuss) Proposed since August 2019.

On August 10 2019 At 4 Pm a gunman injured one congregant at the Al-Noor Islamic Centre in Bærum, Norway before being subdued by other congregants. The suspect is believed to be a "young white male". At the time of the shooting, there were only three people in the mosque. The gunman killed his 17 year old stepsister at their home before going to the mosque.

The gunman was later identified by a right-wing blog as Philip Manshaus, a 21-year-old Norwegian citizen. He had entered the Al-Noor Islamic center with two "shotgun-like weapons" and a pistol; he also wore body armor and a helmet. Hours before opening fire on the Al-Noor Islamic center, the suspect praised the Christchurch mosque shootings and the Poway synagogue shooting in a online post.
