Sue Pennicuik won a seat for the Greens in the Southern Metropolitan Region of the Victorian Legislative Council in the 2006 State election, held on the 25th of November. She was elected as the fourth member of the region, polling 15.34% of 1st preference votes
In 2006, she was the Victorian Greens State Spokesperson on:
- arts & heritage
- climate change
- gay and lesbian rights
- industrial relations
- marine
- party issues
- transport, ports and freight (including channel deepening)
Prior to her election, she worked a coordinator for the Occupational Health and Safety Unit of the ACTU.
