JP Sears has become known for his satirical parodying of veganism, gluten-free fads, new age beliefs, "social justice warriors" and other "modern hippy" topics with his video series Ultra Spiritual. His videos include satirical videos about political correctness, student loans, the education system, and others.
Sears is the author of the satirical book How to Be Ultra Spiritual: 12-1/2 Steps to Spiritual Superiority.
In August 2020, commenting on YouTube's removal of one of his videos, he said: "My concern isn’t for me and my videos, my concern is for human freedoms, civil liberties, at the heart of which is freedom of speech. The social media platforms are the modern day town hall in which speech is conveyed. My love for humanity and human expression is immense." His videos have accumulated over 300 million views.
