Australian Football team

"He celebrated with the Australian national football team in their dressing room following their qualification for the 2006 FIFA World Cup"

Why is this included in the article? and secondly why was he celebrating with the Australian team in the first place? Does he have some sort of connection to Australia?

John Travolta celebrated with the Australian team because he has an endorsement contract with Quantas Airlines, based out of Australia, and as a part of that promotion he served as Captain in special promotional flights of the Australian team. Paramountpr 14:59, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Eh, the first source is not reliable. It's "some guy's website", essentially, and all it says is that Travolta's parents were Irish and Italian. The second source, which is reliable, just says, on his father, "He may be from the commune of Godrano, in the province of Palermo, in Sicily". Although we could say, in the article, that his father "May" have been from Sicily, citing that source, we certainly shouldn't put him in a Sicilian-American category. Uhh....a movie poster, or VHS or DVD cover would usually be necessary in articles about the film. The most necessary image would be a movie screenshot, about who the actor played. --PJ Pete

John Travolta IS gay

This article, to me seems STRANGELY to be missing the whole chasm of his allegations of being gay. Regardless of whether he is gay or not, the information on who has claimed it should be in the article, otherwise this article just looks like reading the damn scientology website.

But why not a small sub-article mentioning people question his sexuality? The admins on this board treat it like their own personal playground, it always has to be there way...

Missing sections on alleged homosexuality

Well, i think it's fair that in an encyclopedia article, the whole image of a person be considered, particularly whenever i hear a whisper about Travolta, there's thousands of gay stories that have been printed in the press, and even corroborated by some people.. yet this article seems oddly remiss. Even if he isn't gay, it's fair point to say that people should know that at least some other people have accused him of being gay, and even admitted to having sex with him. Eerily missing that.
