Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Misplaced Pages to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 163.167.129.124). Logging in does not require any personal details, and there are many other benefits for logging in.

When you edit pages:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Misplaced Pages policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such content or editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism.

The Misplaced Pages Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Misplaced Pages. For now, if you are stuck, you can click the edit this page tab above, type {{helpme}} in the edit box, and then click Save Page; an experienced Wikipedian will be around shortly to answer any questions you may have. Also feel free to ask a question on my talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Misplaced Pages. Pruneau 11:54, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

List of state mottos

Hi! Thank you for your edits to the List of state mottos. Do you think you could provide a reference for the motto you listed for Italy? A Google search hardly provides any results and it isn't listed at Italy or it:Italia. It is Misplaced Pages policy that all statements be backed up by reliable sources. Thanks, Pruneau 11:54, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Wales

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing in Wales. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you./wangi 14:34, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

I fully support this comment. The practice of doing a double edit to prevent easy reversion is also devious--Snowded 15:33, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

What are your sources exactly as you do not state any? 163.167.129.124 14:50, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

You what? Count them: http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Wales&curid=69894&action=history == 1 revert. Please stop putting the personal motto of the Prince of Wales as a motto of the country. Thanks/wangi 15:10, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

AND your sources are..? As I mentioned above you do not cite any. Aside from corrections in layout, I edited the page twice and you have changed it back twice. I find your tone extremely unpleasant by the way. 163.167.129.124 15:22, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

No, count again - one revert. If indeed I had made two then a 3RR notice is still inappropriate and, guess what, that might account for my tone. Sources are not the issue — you are attempting to put the personal motto of an individual (the Prince of Wales) down as the motto of a country (Wales)... See the big difference? Thanks/wangi 15:25, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

You have undone my edit (twice) on two different pages and then threatened to block me from editing with the above "notice." Your unpleasant manner started before my reply in which I copied the message you originally sent me. 163.167.129.124 15:33, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

I posted the 3RR warning on your talk page because it was appropriate - you have re-added that motto numerous times, see http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Wales&curid=69894&action=history (three times, but using many edits - remember to use the preview button). WP:3RR is an official policy on the English Misplaced Pages, make that edit to Wales again and you will be blocked. It is important to discuss on an article talk page and gain consensus for controversial edits; constantly re-adding edits is not the way to do things. I reverted you once on Wales, the other reverts were by other editors. I cannot find any other article that I have reverted you on. Thanks/wangi 16:28, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

You have removed several user warning templates from your user or user talk page. These warnings are not put on your talk page to annoy you; they were placed here because other editors have noticed an issue with your behaviour that may require improvement. They are a method of communication and user talk pages stand as a record of communication with you. If you do not believe the warning was valid or have a question about improving your behaviour you can respond here or visit the help desk. If your talk page is becoming long, you can archive it in accordance with the guidelines laid out here How to archive a talk page. Thank you.

Numerous times = twice, in both instances immediately reverted by you. Now I find your tone threatening and bullying. I am a new user and will make a formal complaint about this to an Administrator! 163.167.129.124 16:52, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
As a new user might I recommend that spend some time having a read through some of the links that were posted at the top our your talk page. You seem to have a problem remembering what edits you have made to the Wales article - the page history is clear on the number of edits/reverts both yourself and I have made. I am a Misplaced Pages administrator, but of course you are free to ask the advice of another (as mentioned in the paragraph above which was added by another editor). Thanks/wangi 17:09, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
