The World Chess Championship 2022/23 will be a chess match, likely to be held in either 2022 or 2023, for the World Chess Championship.

The match will be between a champion, who will be the winner of the World Chess Championship 2021 between Magnus Carlsen or Ian Nepomniachtchi; and a challenger, who will be the winner of the 2022 Candidates Tournament.
