Ice Daddy is the fifteenth studio album by American rapper Gucci Mane. It was released on June 18, 2021, by Atlantic Records and 1017 Records. The album features guest appearances from BigWalkDog, Pooh Shiesty, Sir Mix-a-Lot, BIG30, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, 2 Chainz, Young Dolph, E-40, Project Pat, and Peewee Longway. Production is handled by PabloMCR, WizardMCE, 30 Roc, Twysted Genius, Mike Will Made It, Shawn Ferrari, and iWeirdo.
The album is named after Ice Davis, Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka'oir's son. He was born on December 23, 2020.
Background
Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka'oir welcomed their baby boy, Ice Davis, on December 23, 2020. Gucci announced that his wife was pregnant through Instagram on August 14, 2020. Ice has appeared in so many of their Instagram videos. He also appears on the cover and the album is dedicated to him. Billboard reported the release date of the album on April 29, 2021, a day before.
Release and promotion
Pre-order for the album was available on April 30, 2021, with the song "Shit Crazy" feat. BIG30 (1st single). Next, on June 8, Gucci announced that Pooh Shiesty who is signed to 1017 too will also be a part of the album and appearing on the next single called "Like 34 & 8".
On May 24, 2021, Gucci Mane released the song "Poppin" with recent 1017 signee BigWalkDog on YouTube. It was released officially 1 day before the album on streaming services.
