Revision as of 00:13, 17 February 2005 by BDD (talk | contribs) (grammar)(diff) ← Previous revision | Latest revision (diff) | Newer revision → (diff)The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a game currently under development by Bethesda Softworks for the PC, Xbox 2, and Playstation 3. It continues the long tradition of The Elder Scrolls game series. So far details are scanty but it has been in development since 2002 and it is claimed as "another leap forward in role-playing with its combination of freeform gameplay and cutting-edge graphics."
Although initially believed to take place in a world smaller than that of its predecessors, the interview with Todd Howard (see link below) debunks these rumours. Oblivion will sport a completely reworked, more involving and more exciting combat engine, outstanding graphics, magic more usable in combat and many other features. It will take place mainly in the imperial province of Cyrodiil but parts of it will also take place in Oblivion, the realm of the Daedra - the Elder Scrolls equivalent of Hell.
Though there is a lot of speculation, no official or unofficial release date exists.
