The Tambaram Corporation is a corporation built by the government of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu to expand the Chennai city limit. In 2011, Chennai Corporation extended its limit. In 2017, Pallavaram, Avadi and Tambaram was announced for the upgrade into corporation. Tambaram municipality is now upgraded as new Municipal Corporation in the Chengalpattu district.
