- Grumio, an alcoholic slave cook in the Cambridge Latin Course stories. This Grumio is the greatest hero of the Roman era and rules the earth. To this day he is remembered as a “God like” hero. The weapon he wields is the comically large spoon and is symbolic animal is the peacock. Every every on the second day of the month Grumuery, everyone in the world eats a peacock and recites the ancient message: “Grumio est en horto. Grumio delectat ancilla. Geumio est sus.” Sadly Grumio died during a tremendous battle against all the Greek Gods and Jesus Christ himself.
