Hello, I'm Ionmars10. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Destin Sandlin, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Misplaced Pages has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Ionmars10 (talk) 03:51, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
A lengthy welcome
Hi Darth-X-President. Welcome to Misplaced Pages. I've added a welcome message to the top of this page that gives a great deal of information about Misplaced Pages. I hope you find it useful.
Additionally, I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Misplaced Pages: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Misplaced Pages by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily.
Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Misplaced Pages's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.
If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Misplaced Pages's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the purpose of Misplaced Pages and the neutrality required in articles.
Some topic areas within Misplaced Pages have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.
If you work from reliable, independent sources, you shouldn't go far wrong. WP:RSP and WP:RSN are helpful in determining if a source is reliable.
I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 17:01, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Misplaced Pages. Thank you. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:58, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
- You've moved another page, this time Are We Done Yet? to Are We Done Yet? (film). This is an unnecessary disambiguation, and you shouldn't be moving pages like this. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:11, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
Maintenance templates
Concerning this edit, please do not change the dates in maintenance templates. Those dates let us know how long the article has been marked as unreferenced, which in your edit is a difference of 10 years. This lets people make a decision on what can be deleted if it's been marked for a longer period. I.e. in this case you marking it as June 2020 makes someone think of that's fine there's time. Whereas the correct date of 10 years ago makes someone think, well if there are no references after 10 years we can just delete the whole thing. So please don't edit maintenance templates unless you're correcting the problem. Canterbury Tail talk 12:18, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
I will never move a page without discussing it with others I am truly sorry I have upset you I promise that it will never happen again. P.S. I will check on my "Talk" page more often.Darth-X-President (talk) 02:04, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Accept reason:
Based on the explanation you offered and demonstration of understanding of the issue I believe you're eligible to have this good block lifted. That said, in point of clarification, the issue was not that you "upset" any single editor, it was that you upset the stability of the encyclopedia. But I don't think it's worthwhile to drag this out on questions of semantics. Also, note that it would be a good idea to check your Talk page anytime the new message icon is illuminated, not just at some predetermined cadence or frequency. Please feel free to pose questions about policy or guidelines at WP:TEAHOUSE. Chetsford (talk) 03:04, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
- Because you are completely ignoring anything posted to your talk page, I have indefinitely blocked you. This is to force you to read your talk page, respond to the concerns raised here, and indicate that you understand the issues. Any admin should feel free to unblock you without consulting me, as long as they believe you will engage the community and follow our policies. The instructions to make an unblock request are above. IMDb
Please do not cite the IMDb or copy its data into Misplaced Pages. Because its content is user-generated, it's not a reliable source and can not be used for citations on Misplaced Pages. Box Office Mojo are The Numbers commonly used for box office grosses and budgets, but you can sometimes find them at Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and TheWrap. There are some more suggestions at WP:FILM/R. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:08, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
Page moves
Hi - it appears you moved a page without discussion , which you indicated you would not do in the future as a condition for lifting of the previous block applied by NinjaRobotPirate. I regret to inform you that it may be necessary to indefinitely block you at this time. I just wanted to first make sure I didn't misread anything? If you could just take a moment to let me know if there was an extenuating circumstance of which I was not aware prior to the block being applied it would be appreciated. Thank you! You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for disruptive editing, specifically, continued page moves outside naming convention and without discussion after previously stating you would not do so as a condition for unblocking., as you did at Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe. If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page:{{unblock|reason=I will never move a page without discussing it with others I am truly sorry I have upset you I promise that it will never happen again. P.S. I will check on my "Talk" page more often. Please give me a second chance I am just a beginner and I am learning from my mistakes. I am sorry it will not happen again.~~~~}}

- As stated above, it is with deep regret that I inform you that you have been blocked indefinitely due to reasons described in the previous messages on your Talk page. You may want to investigate the procedures described under WP:STANDARDOFFER. In the meantime, while you'll no longer be able to participate in the Misplaced Pages project as an editor, I hope you'll continue to participate as a non-editing reader. Thank you for your past and ongoing support of Misplaced Pages! Chetsford (talk) 13:13, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

Nice try. We aren't falling for it again. You've demonstrated you have no intention of keeping your word in this respect. Yamla (talk) 19:57, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- And why should we believe this again?. This is exactly what you said to get unblocked last time. Meters (talk) 19:36, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System. If the block is a CheckUser or Oversight block, was made by the Arbitration Committee or to enforce an arbitration decision (arbitration enforcement), or is unsuitable for public discussion, you should appeal to the Arbitration Committee.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.
