Oliver & Bonacini RestaurantsHello. Full disclosure: I work for Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants in their marketing department. We would like to request an article for creation about the Toronto-based company and its founders, Peter Oliver and MasterChef Canada judge Michael Bonacini. Currently, Michael Bonacini is the only MasterChef Canada judge without his own Misplaced Pages page. We would be happy to provide a wide variety of sources (newspaper articles, magazine features, etc.) to the writer. A key player in Toronto's food and beverage culture, O&B owns and operates 12 restaurants in Ontario as well as a handful of event spaces, including Arcadian Court and The Carlu. Thank you!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Rebeccaspence (talk • contribs) The Great Hall - Toronto ( Heritage Site)Hi, Full disclosure: i work at The Great Hall, it's one of the main historic city landmarks in Toronto, although its 130 years old landmark and one of the main pillars on queen west since 1889, it is still not part of the wikipedia resource. I would be happy to provide any material needed, articles, news, updates, historical background etc. Thank you. Pre-1967 suburban mayors and reevesWe now have articles for every suburban mayor (ie Scarborough, North York, East York, York, and Etobicoke) from the 1967 amalgamation/reorganization of Metro to the final amalgamation of 1997. I'm wondering which, if any, pre-1967 reeves or mayors merit an article (see List of reeves of the former townships and villages in Toronto and also List of reeves and mayors of East York, List of reeves and mayors of Scarborough, Ontario. List of reeves and mayors of Etobicoke, North_York#Governance, and York,_Toronto#Politics ). Before January 1, 1967 there was not only the townships of Etobicoke, York, North York, East York, and Scarborough but also the towns of New Toronto, Mimico, Weston and Leaside; the villages of Long Branch, Swansea and Forest Hill. I wrote an article on North York reeve Norman Goodhead since he was twice a candidate for Metro Chairman and there was a lot of information on him. Oliver Crockford of Scarborough also appears to be notable since he was the force behind the Golden Mile and Chris Tonks of York is notable because he was the focus of a major corruption scandal that made national news - and also remained in politics into the 1970s. This page on the reeves of mayors of Etobicoke has a little blurb on each reeve, William J. Gardhouse later became MPP for York West so he might be notable. If many or most of these reeves and mayors are not notable in their own right I'm wondering if we can build up List of reeves of the former townships and villages in Toronto and the related pages about the townships so that there is at least a few sentences on each reeve or mayor on the page? I was working on the Index of Ontario-related articles and felt that with the sheer number of Toronto-related articles on Misplaced Pages, it was justified as a scope for its own dedicated index, which I have created at Index of Toronto-related articles. I welcome any comments or contributions, as despite my best efforts I doubt I will be able to find and add all of the hundreds of Toronto-related articles on here. I hope you may find it useful. I've certainly been enjoying the process of finding and reading the wide variety of articles about the city. We're looking for editors to take pictures of cricket grounds which have hosted major matches at international/domestic level. Here are some cricket grounds in Toronto which we currently do not have photos for. It would be greatly appreciated if any project members living locally to these grounds were to dust off their cameras and take some photos! The two cricket grounds are about 3km apart. Thanks in advance. StickyWicket (talk) 08:47, 10 April 2021 (UTC) The Dakota TavernI noticed there wasn't a page for the venue The Dakota Tavern so I've created a stub/start-class article for now. It's here: User:CaffeinAddict/sandbox/2. CaffeinAddict (talk) 07:53, 16 January 2022 (UTC) |
