Mark Halsey (born July 8 1961) is an English football referee in the FA Premier League. He was formerly based in Welwyn Garden City, latterly in Bolton, Lancashire.

Halsey started refereeing in 1989 and became a FA Premier League referee after only 10 years in 1999. 1 year later (2000) Mark became a FIFA referee.

One of Mr Halsey's most controversial decisions was to send off Sol Campbell in Arsenal's championship deciding game against Manchester United in 2003, for an alleged strike with the elbow, even though television replays proved inconclusive. The match was drawn 2-2 and Manchester United went on the win the League.
