Tripathi or Tripathy (Devanagari: त्रिपाठी) is an Indian Hindu Brahmin family name. Tripathi or Tripathy is used by Brahmins who use to chant vedic mantras three times during recitals. Some Brahmins also use Tiwari, both are similar surnames.
