Veracity of....AfD

I noticed your constructive comment at the AfD:

  • "...I can see why WP:OR and WP:SYNTH may be a concern, but ultimately I don't see a violation but will admit that perhaps a future edit or two could change that."

That observation deserves to be heard and acted upon. Can you name precisely what in the article raised those concerns? If you will do that, then I'd love to take a crack at improving the article to meet those concerns. Few of our articles are perfect, and sharp eyes serve us well when they lead to improvement. -- BullRangifer (talk) 15:45, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

My main concerns were in the “Economy” section which at first glance looked as though the paraphrasing of the sources were strong enough when in fact with a more carefully I looked at it and compared and contrast the content from the sourced material. Another concern was in the “Fact Checking Trump section, but realize now after careful review that it was only long quotes that gave the appearance of WP:OR. I officially retract my statement, "...I can see why WP:OR and WP:SYNTH may be a concern...” TruthGuardians (talk) 21:14, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

Hello TruthGuardians. I am a fan of rock artists, particularly metal guitarists. I noticed that a new article pertaining to Rocky Kramer popped up and as soon as I began looking it over, you marked it with a suspected WP:UPE violation and moved it to a draft. I left a message on the article's talk page, but wanted to contact you directly as well. The article appears accurate to me, but I don't know why you think it may have been written by a paid writer. Articles have to start with someone. You've undoubtedly started some articles yourself, but that doesn't mean the editor was paid. Do you have anything to support your assumption? If not, can I work on it and hopefully take it out of draft status? If you think there's something wrong with the article, will you work with me to get the article in proper format? I saw that you included a positive message about Michael Jackson, yet YOU VOTED AGAINST adding Michael Jackson.

The nomination you voted "oppose" is a swap (remove Elvis Presley & add Michael Jackson). I think you simply made a mistake that has made your vote end up being against Michael Jackson and in favor of Elvis.

Hello @TruthGuardians:! I think I understand the reason for the confusion. I mean, Elvis was recently removed from the list of vital articles of the Misplaced Pages in English language. And Michael Jackson was added to it. This is the link for that list: https://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Vital_articles
But now, the current voting is on a list that does NOT concern the English-language Misplaced Pages. It concerns all the Wikipedias in all the languages. Its title is "List of articles every Misplaced Pages should have". It's a different list.
It is a list of what should be considered vital articles for all Wikipedias in all languages.

And right now, Elvis Presley IS INCLUDED in that list and Michael Jackson IS NOT INCLUDED in that list.
The nomination in which you (and me) voted is for Removing Elvis from that list and adding Michael Jackson to the list.
And although your message was positive about Michael, yet you voted against the swap (you voted OPPOSE, which means that you are supporting Elvis staying on the list, and you are opposing Michael Jackson to be added to the list).
This list is independent, it's on the Meta-Wiki site, not in the Misplaced Pages in English language site.
And the current voting is to add Michael Jackson to that list, in which he is not yet on.
If you support adding Michael Jackson to the "List of articles every Misplaced Pages should have" then you should vote SUPPORT to this nomination:

Caution

In this edit (14:50, 30 March 2021 at Talk:Michael Jackson) you refer to "bullying I was subjected to" in connection with a particular editor that you named. Please be careful to not repeat anything like that otherwise I will block you. We could have a painful discussion about why such comments are not suitable but it would be far easier to use the article talk page to discuss actionable proposals to improve the article, and not mention other editors. I’ve edited it out the name. I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to share my unpleasant experience on an article’s talk page. Was unaware that any rules whatsoever was being broken. Leaving Neverland

If you had read the reason provided in the tag I left, you would have seen the comment "Source's credibility needs to be established." Thomson has no Misplaced Pages article demonstrating his importance, the Leaving Neverland article has no prior mention of him to demonstrate his credibility on the matter, and what's more, his Twitter account isn't even verified - could have been any random person, which was why the tag was left. You also did not address the issue of sourcing a tweet which is discouraged per WP:SELFPUBLISH. No content was removed, only tagged with a request for better sourcing, and establishing who Thomson is and why his opinion is relevant. Instead of making kneejerk reverts in the future, please consider addressing concerns that are raised before removing tags. Thank you. Chase (talk | contributions) 18:43, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

A journalist doesn’t have to have a verified account on social media to be credited as a reliable journalist. The concerns were addressed in my edit summary. Have a read. The source is credible, accepted, and stable. TruthGuardians (talk) 18:48, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
I didn't say a verified account was required. I'm telling you what looked questionable to me as someone who was unfamiliar with Thomson and stumbled across a random tweet being used as a source on Misplaced Pages. And going back to SELFPUBLISH, the use of such sources is not allowed to be used as a third-party source regarding living people (Robson), and is typically not preferred regardless as "if the information in question is suitable for inclusion, someone else will probably have published it in independent reliable sources."
