In the map, the Transnitria zone should be marked in a light green color, like the separatist regions of Georgia. SpaceCowboy1207 (talk) 09:17, 11 May 2022 (UTC)

Real name of country is Republic of Moldova

Moldova is a region both Romania ( west if Pruth River ) and alsi in the Republic of Moldiva (east of Pruth river ). There are parts of historic Moldova in Ukraine ( North Bukovina in Cernivsti Region and Bugeac in Odessa Region ).. Roman8ans call eastern part of Moldova as Basarabia. 5.14.154.169 (talk) 22:20, 23 June 2022 (UTC)

Agree, can we change the article name to "Republic of Moldova"? Plex (talk) 16:02, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

The use of the generic name Moldova is an abuse when reffering to former Socialist Soviet Republic of Moldavia. The generic name should be used by the main historical region which is now in Romania. The country namwd Republic of Mokdova should be renamed Eastern Moldavia or Oriental Moldavia in order to avoid confusion. Koczka17 (talk) 10:31, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

I agree with this proposal. I've tried in the past to do this, as a precursor to an eventual (under official Ro government managed) designation of the state as the Former Soviet Republic of Moldova, and Ultimately as the Republic of Bessarabia, in full agreement with its historical legacy as a imperialist-colonial Tsarist and Soviet entity Caliniuc (talk) 10:45, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Moldova's ethnic groups

I'm sorry but Moldovan as ethnic group doesn't exist, and people who declare themselves Romanians which are more than 7% are the same people as Moldovans. Can you please change ethnic group label and mark both Romanian and Moldovan as Native, to not make any confusion 188.237.249.130 (talk) 21:10, 13 September 2022 (UTC)

Administrative divisions map error

In Administrative divisions, Florești Disctrict should be Florești District. I just don't know how to correct this. Thanks, Laguna CA (talk) 00:07, 27 February 2023 (UTC)

Changing the official language to only Romanian as it is stated in the Declaration of Independence and in the 2013 ruling of the Constitutional Court of Moldova that the language is Romanian. Kapanol420 (talk) 13:55, 14 March 2023 (UTC)

The field is named "Official language and national language" and this is sourced.  // Timothy :: talk  14:36, 14 March 2023 (UTC)

If you are going to replace existing content with references, you need to explain with sources why the information is incorrect and why the sources should be removed and what sources are replacing them.  // Timothy :: talk  22:02, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
In 1991, the Declaration of Independence of Moldova named the official language as Romanian. In December 2013, the Constitutional Court of Moldova ruled that the Declaration of Independence takes precedence over the Constitution, and the state language should be called "Romanian". On March 2, 2023, the Moldovan parliament voted in the first reading to replace the phrase "Moldovan language" with "Romanian language" in all legislation of the country. The proposed law was introduced by a group of members of the "Action and Solidarity Party" fraction. Additionally, phrases such as "official language," "state language," and "mother tongue" will also be replaced. The authors of the proposal argue that this change is necessary to implement the constitutional considerations outlined in the decisions of the Constitutional Court, which declared that the state language of the Republic of Moldova is Romanian. The bill also proposes that the National Holiday "Our Language," as it is currently referred to, be renamed "Romanian Language." The proposal passed its first reading with 56 votes in favor.
You need anything else, chief? Kapanol420 (talk) 11:18, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
The information on the page reflects this. Are you saying Moldovan is not a major language in Moldova? or that the sources you are seeking to remove are not reliable? You're proposing removing reliability sourced information is a POV edit.  // Timothy :: talk  11:25, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 15 March 2023

It is requested that an edit be made to the extended-confirmed-protected article at Moldova. (edit · history · last · links · protection log)

This template must be followed by a complete and specific description of the request, that is, specify what text should be removed and a verbatim copy of the text that should replace it. "Please change X" is not acceptable and will be rejected; the request must be of the form "please change X to Y".

The edit may be made by any extended confirmed user. Remember to change the |answered=no parameter to "yes" when the request has been accepted, rejected or on hold awaiting user input. This is so that inactive or completed requests don't needlessly fill up the edit requests category. You may also wish to use the {{EEp}} template in the response. To request that a page be protected or unprotected, make a protection request.

Moldovan language doesn't exist it was invented by Russians to give Moldovans a separate identity, based on the 1991 Declaration of Independence, Romanian is the official language of Moldova further confirmed by the 2013 ruling of the Constitutional Court of Moldova that confirmed Romanian is the only language, also recently a law has passed to further engrain the Romanian language as the only and official language of Moldova so I request that the Moldovan language to be deleted from the Language bracket, thank you! Kapanol420 (talk) 11:14, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

Please inform yourself better people as I see there are lots that know nothing about Moldova but they still edit it, Romanian is and always was the only language of Moldova, "moldovan" language doesn't exist lol Kapanol420 (talk) 11:16, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
