ChatGPT Plus is a subscription service for ChatGPT and is owned by OpenAI. The subscription provides access to GPT-4 model of OpenAI.

Background

ChatGPT was initially launched as a research preview with the aim of identifying the system's strengths and weaknesses, as well as collecting user feedback for further improvements.

Following its launch, millions of users provided feedback, leading to numerous significant updates. The platform has been utilized in various professional contexts, such as content drafting and editing, idea generation, programming assistance, and topic exploration.

Service

The service provides subscribers with consistent access during peak usage, accelerated response times, and preferential access to new features, including GPT-4 and forthcoming ChatGPT plugins.

It costs $20 per month.

Availability

Initially, it was launched in the US only. In March 2023, it was launched in India.
