Date of Janmashtami ?
When is Janmashtami ? Can someone confirm the date, please ? theholidayspot.com says August 26, but 123greetings.com says August 27. I am quite confused. -- PFHLai 20:16, 2005 August 24 (UTC)
- According to Gaurabda Calendar, a Vaishnava calendar service by ISKCON, the date in 2005 is 26 August.--Shruti14 12:11, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
Today is 30 August and today is Janmashtami so I guess it changes...? WikiSilky (talk) 08:23, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
Article Title
Nichalp,
Do not move the page to that entitled just "Janmashtami" - - Krishna Janmashtami or Krishnaashtami are more correct terms, obviously; Janmashtami as referring to the birth of Krishna is a colloquialism that assumes that no other great person was ever born on an "Ashtami". In any case, the redirect from the "Janmashtami" page will ensure proper referencing from other pages -Anon
- You have a point, I've undone your copy-paste edits and redirected to Krishna Janmaashtami to maintain the history. =Nichalp «Talk»= 05:32, August 26, 2005 (UTC)

Deleting images
Hi everybody!
I propose deleting a few images off of this page.
- There are already two images of a toddler dressed up as Krishna. One of them can be deleted.
- The "statue of Krishna being carried across the river" and "traditional festive food..." image look very out of place in the article. Perhaps we can remove them all together or rearrange it to make it align with the part of the text that mentions it?
Please give your thoughts on this. Chilicave (talk) 01:22, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
Improving the article
Hi @Chilicave,
I saw you've made some solid edits to the article and was wondering if you would be open to collaborating further to improve it. Currently, I think there is a lot of room to improve the writing in the article. Additionally, we could adjust the current sections/create new sections that would help encyclopedia readers learn more about Krishna Janmashtami. Let know if you have any ideas /are open to collaborating here! RealPharmer3 (talk) 17:57, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
