He is currently signed by World Wrestling Entertainment where he is assigned to its developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling. Recently, Runnels formed a Tag Team with Shawn Spears and have been feuding with Deuce & Domino for the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship. He also won the OVW Heavyweight Championship from Paul Burchill at a house show in February 2007, only to lose it back the next day.
