==

Hello, I enjoyed your points in the discussion of Glam metal I agree that "hair metal" was originally derogatory, but now its the name used almost universally for the genre by fans. Unfortunately the people editing this page try to sweep under the rug any criticism of the genre and refuse to recognize the origin of the term "hair metal". I've been adding the etymology of the term , but this edit has been the target of reverts, and one user was blocked for reverting. Now another editor is reverting. There are just not many quality people trying to shape up this page. I can add numerous other uses of "hair farmer" but the only issue seems to be people's refusal to recognize how criticism shaped the name. I'd appreciate any thoughts you have on the subject. I've said all I can really. I was unaware of the term hair farmer. It seems no one is willing to acknowledge the glam rock/metal problem or fans' usage of hair metal. -- Kevin Browning 07:14, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Cleanup

Saw you were doing some cleanup of unsigned comments on the talk page. Thanks. You can use the following substitute command to make it a little easier. surround the following the two squiggly brackets on either side
- subst:unsigned|the username or ipaddress -
and it will populate like this when you save it
—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Caper13 (talkcontribs).

Thanks, I like unsigned2 since it lets you just paste the info from history. -- Kevin Browning 07:16, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Unsigned Tags

You're using them wrong. You have to look through the page history, find who left the comment, and then put {{unsigned|USER NAME}}. Cheers, -- The Hybrid 08:32, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't have time to dig through the history for each unsigned comment, so it's a start. Maybe you could help. Thanks. -- Kevin Browning 08:35, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

We usually just let it be unless personal attacks have been made by the unsigned user, or we are currently involved in a conversation with them. Cheers, -- The Hybrid 08:38, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Alright. I like order so I tend to want all comments identified, but I'll try harder to find the info when I tag. -- Kevin Browning 07:14, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Whatever makes you happy. It's just that having misused templates on a page are the pet peeves of some users. I have noticed some of them being removed already. -- The Hybrid 10:02, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Alright, it would be more helpful of them to put in the info instead of deleting it, but I don't care that much. -- Kevin Browning 10:07, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Like I said, unless we need the info to file a personal attack report or we are currently in a conversation with them we tend to just let it be. As you've seen, it takes a while to look through page histories to find the user who commented, so it is easier to delete the template. I don’t because they don’t annoy me, but as for other people… Cheers, -- The Hybrid 10:12, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Your edit to Adolf Hitler

Your recent edit to Adolf Hitler (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Misplaced Pages articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. Click here for frequently asked questions about the bot and this warning. // AntiVandalBot 07:03, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

It wasn't vandalism, I was simply adding unreferenced tags to those sections with no refs. -- Kevin Browning 07:14, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Adding tags

Please stop adding un-needed tags to wrestling articles. There is no need for the tag in some of the articles you are adding them to, because some articles do not need any sources. Some of them are needed, but some aren't. Thanks. --  Mikedk9109  (hit me up)  21:20, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

All articles need sources, especially ones about living people. I will continue adding uncited tags to biographies with no or too few sources. -- Kevin Browning 07:30, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Rock music Wikiproject invitation

Hello WikiProject Metal member.
WikiProject Metal music is important in expanding encyclopedic coverage of the metal. It brings attention to the lesser-known bands, and significantly improves the quality of the famous ones. Five Featured articles and two formers is proof of that.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently resurrected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and embrace the links between metal and rock music in general.
Rock on.

quick note

Hi!

The new Wiki Conservapedia could use some contributors to expand its articles on Christianity - especially its Christian apologetics articles. The site is more friendly to Christianity than Misplaced Pages. It is also less liberal. Jazzman123 00:28, 28 March 2007 (UTC)jazzman123
