Blatant POV pushing

The article has been edited by many editors to POV push against BAPS and other sampradayas in favor of the Laxmi Narayan and Nar Narayan Gadis. This is evident through the edits and through the names of one major editor which is Gaybaps. This needs an investigation into POV pushing and an article rewrite. 2600:4040:60AC:6500:8C19:148D:3902:DD16 (talk) 01:12, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

Serious? This article was hijacked by a BAPS-sock-puppeteer; we've seen enough already of this attitude here. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 05:01, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

There was a sockpuppet against other sampradyas after those sockpuppets. There is no reason to be biased against any of them. We need to remove certain biases in this article. Specifically, we need to revert the change in the introduction of Swaminarayan as a manifestation of Krishna as majority of Swaminarayan followers believe him to be either a manifestation of Krishna or Vishnu or a Manifestation of supreme god. Then original edit was better and we should reach a consensus on wether we should change this or keep it as is. Ram112313 (talk) 16:12, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

I am follower of Swaminarayan sect. And I know what is written about Swaminarayan in the ancient scripture Skanda Purana. But now this article cannot be edited, please remove this protection. And make it editable. I will surely help you in this. I promise to add accurate and unbiased information. ભાવિક (talk) 05:09, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Remove the word yogi from this article. If Swaminarayan was God, then he should get at least that much respect

People who have not read the scriptures of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya have no right to edit this page. In none of the scriptures of the Swaminarayan sect, he is called only a yogi. They are God. So he was proficient in yogic action. I have nothing more to say but just remove the word Yogi from the article. And at least use the word God. If you see references to him being God I will give them. But please don't insult our Lord like this. Don't edit the page if you don't know about our sect. It hurts our feelings ભાવિક (talk) 05:18, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Reverts

{{yo|ભાવિક]] I reverted your edits diff, beacuse you removed sourced info and WP:RS, and replaced them with two WP:PRIMARY sources. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 11:39, 7 May 2023 (UTC)

Remove Yogi Word

i am firm believer of lord shree swaminarayan. You need to remove word yogi and replace it with God. Do not play with emotions of devotees. There are crores of devotees who believe he is the supreme lord. This is insult of my beloved lord shree Swaminarayan. Juhi2511 (talk) 09:16, 20 June 2023 (UTC)

Replace the infobox image with BAPS Robbinsville Mandir - Murti 2.jpg, its more in detail. 23.127.139.201 (talk) 02:18, 30 September 2023 (UTC)

Not done: Here is a link the image requested: https://commons.wikimedia.org/File:BAPS_Robbinsville_Mandir_-_Murti_2.jpg. There is no description provided for it on its wikimedia page, but the page where it is used on English Misplaced Pages indicates it is from a location in the United States. I think the one used in the infobox is a better fit as the lead image for this page. (But, of course anyone with autoconfirmed status who disagrees with me is of course free to continue the discussion here, or WP:BOLDLY change the image themselves.) -- Pinchme123 (talk) 01:23, 6 October 2023 (UTC)

add Father's genuine name: Hariprasad Pande and Mother's genuine name: Premvati Pande in info box with title "Personal" located below "Swaminarayan" and above "Religious career".

Also, please mention the referance link to the Bhashya on "Prasthantrayi" based on which he became GOD. RushikeshHindu (talk) 01:33, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

Please provide a reliable source for the claim. Rasnaboy (talk) 07:15, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
