The majority of major buildings/entities/events in Macau use that spelling, including the Macau International Airport. All major English media around the world, including the BBC, CNN, the South China Morning Post, and even the local main English paper, the Macau Post Daily uses the Macau spelling.--Huaiwei 16:13, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

- yes, this inconsistency is why we've developed a fairly standing consensus on WP to use the u spelling UNLESS the actual title of the article is the true and only proper name of the subject (Macao Daily News). The title of this article is not a proper name in itself, so we should stick to the u spelling convention. SchmuckyTheCat 16:56, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
