Copyediting

Faizanalivarya asked me to explain my changes on the talk page. Most of it was general copyediting. The most significant changes were:

  • The article currently has no reliable secondary sources. The interview with Patel comes closest, but it's still not a secondary source. Thus I added the {{refimprove}} template to ask for better sources.
  • I removed sources which didn't even mention Patel, namely the broken link to the National Assembly member list, the Provincial Assembly of Sindh website and the video about Zardari.
  • I removed some navigation templates. This article is biographical, not part of the series on politics and government of Pakistan. Similarly, Wikimedia Commons resources on the PPP are off-topic for this article; they are unlikely to be about Patel.

Furthermore, I changed the wording a little, removed repetitive links to the same articles (except the first occurrence, of course), repaired broken sentences, added a missing comma and the like. This is supposed to improve readability without significantly changing the article's content. Huon (talk) 21:25, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Unavailable source

I just tried to find the autobiography of Hussain Patel via Google Books, via the Library of Congress catalogue and via the National Library of Pakistan's catalogue: No relevant results. The information given is not enough to identify that book by conventional means: We don't have an ISBN, a publication date or a publisher. Unless we provide enough information to allow our readers to access the book, it's not really helpful as a reference. Huon (talk) 14:42, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

You might be right but with all your due respect, as its bit old book it might does not have availability on internet, however the mentioned book is very known and popular book of its time, and can be easily assess at State Bank of Pakistan's Library, also aviable at Federal Urdu University Library and Karachi University main Library aswell. -- Faizan Munawar Varya contributions 12:44, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
I just checked the FUU's downloadable catologue and didn't find the book. The other two libraries you mention don't seem to have online catalogues. I didn't find it via WorldCat either. Since the book is cited for events in the late 80s and early 90s, it cannot be much older than 20 years. That's by far not too old for an ISBN. Huon (talk) 15:02, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
