KBIG

I have a question here, and no I don't need any requests.

This article says that Delilah is airing a live show on KBIG, entirely different from the syndicated program. Is this true, or is it just a modified version of the hot AC version? I'm wondering because the two shows overlap two hours time, and there are several syndicated versions.JMyrleFuller 12:48, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Article

Currently this article is dominated by the radio show info, which though is what makes her notable tends to give undue weight to a portion of her life. More personal info is needed, and much of the other info needs to be moved to an article on the radio program (if the program passes WP:NOTE). Aboutmovies (talk) 04:40, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Quite frankly, the radio show is what she is almost exclusively known for (pardon the preposition at the end of the sentence). It's listed under her name since there is already an unrelated story at the Delilah article. JMyrleFuller (talk) 14:07, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Children

Her official bio on the point hope website says seven of her ten children are adopted, not eight. I made the change in the article - but noticed after I made them that I wasn't logged in. Pixiestix (talk) 20:44, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Contradictory info; issues overall

Firstly, in the personal section there is contradictory information marital status, which needs to get fixed. However, this article in general is poor; it's mainly focused on PR-style material (I wouldn't be surprised if this article's seen a few biased edits by Delilah fans or reps, but don't construe that as an accusation), it's poorly sourced, and it has little focus.

Line 49 was poorly sourced, violated NPOV twice, and highly selectively quoted the original web source upon which it was based. Thus, it was not deserving of the space or attention it received (undue weight). I removed it.

Real Name?

The article includes a (not real name) however she's introduced in the article as Delilah. If Delilah was a stage name usually wikipedia articles would list her real name.

Any reason for not using her real name or is her real name used with an incorrect (not real name)?Woods01 (talk) 08:07, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

It does seem odd that the name given in the Bloomberg article cited here as Reference 1, https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2016-delilah/ , identifies her by a name that does not appear in the current state of this article. That same name can be found on another page (written for young readers) with explanatory background: http://thecharacternetwork.org/the-delilah-rene-luke-story/ . It was also used in fairly recent NPR coverage: http://www.npr.org/2016/08/16/490174019/the-familiar-voice-of-delilah-a-nighttime-companion-on-the-radio The apparently original surname (maiden name?) also appeared here: https://www.buzzfeed.com/nickrkm/youre-listening-to-delilah?utm_term=.jdGLrNZXp#.qyO1bj9Xr and here: http://archive.kitsapsun.com/news/local/yes-that-delilah-lives-in-south-kitsap-ep-422270030-358677691.html The disappearing surname in this case raises a question of the status of the name that now (since when?) occurs in the surname position, "Rene." Did that name originate as a middle name? Her birth name, I concede, is arguably trivial, but the story of how her stage name evolved strikes me as of likely interest to many readers.

Delilah ReneDelilah (radio personality) – or Delilah (radio host), though the former phrase seems more common on Misplaced Pages in general. Although natural disambiguation is generally a good idea, it's not usually applied to mononymous people. See Talk:Madonna (entertainer)#Requested move (May 2013) for a recent example of this. Checking the low hits from "delilah rene" -wikipedia confirms that this is not her WP:COMMONNAME. --Relisted. --Mdann52talk to me! 13:26, 4 November 2013 (UTC)--Relisted.  — Amakuru (talk) 10:45, 21 October 2013 (UTC) BDD (talk) 19:51, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Birth Year?

The article states she was born in 1960, yet the article is categorized in 1958 births. Which is correct? MichaelCaricofe (talk) 04:49, 9 September 2014 (UTC)

When did the show begin?

I think it would of intererest to know when the Delilah show first aired. Also, what is her personal and professional background? Where did she grow up? What school (s) did she attend? What did do for a living before the show debuted?--2600:1003:B109:3BE9:BCA7:821C:2F3E:725E (talk) 05:43, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
